As the glossy globe sinks
Throwing shards of dying light
I stand,
Watching from the forlorn earth
Rueing the dying of the sun
Loathing the entry of dusk
I pause,
Stocking the loses of my day
That daily his death conjures
Forcing me to rake in deeps
Into my hurting heart that weeps
I cry,
For your beauty betrays
Chiding my shrinking heart
With loss you load my soul
Oh undying eye,
Die then that my pain too
With darkness gilded,
May die too…
