How is anyone ever going to take us seriously if we remain as divided as we are now? We have an association [Bloggers Association of Kenya] now but how many of us are members? The truth of the matter is that we don’t trust each other, we don’t support each other. We only come together when one of us is attacked or when something, that affects most of us, happens. In other words we react when we should be acting. We are our own worst enemies.
The mere mention of The Kenya Power & Lighting Company (KPLC) attracts such angst and makes some Kenyans start frothing at the mouth and so predictably there was uproar among some Kenyans on twitter when news reached them that the company had been awarded two marketing awards by the Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK). So every once in a while, I pop into some frenzy brought on by either stress, rebellion or both. During this frenzy, I tend to get into thoroughly heated arguments with the voices in my head. My seven personalities go to war with a few of them begging me to say something rash and a few level- headed ones begging me to keep my cool. This article will articulate which side took victory.

Kenya, independent since 1963, with seamless power transitions that have seen only three men preside over its state of affairs to date. She is an island of peace, devoid of any civil wars or coup d’états. A stable country if you ask its leaders, a country that is progressive and sensitive to the needs of its citizens, where the quality of life is good for the citizens. The famous free primary school milk program and the free education policy are more than enough testament to this.
In the eyes of those who govern her, that is Kenya for you. They are right you know, when you compare beautiful Kenya with other countries in Africa that have had annual regime changes through coups and assassinations, Kenya is indeed a bastion of stability, only Gabon, Zimbabwe and Libya have been led by fewer leaders over the past 40 years. In their Kenya, the leaders lead and the followers follow, no questions asked. That is their interpretation of stability. They say that instability arises when the followers start doubting the words and wisdom of those who lead. That is how they explain Somalia, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea Bissau and Cote d’ Ivoire.
I have a love hate relationship with names. The love bit is very straight forward, I love all Kenyan & African names in general. They just do it for me. If you tell me your Kenyan or African name I never forget it unlike with English names. The hate part is a bit complicated but I’ll try to my very best to explain it.
Yesterday, I left the office at 5.39pm and was reached town at 6.40pm. Grabbed a few things in Nakumatt then I headed to Railways to pick a bus to #NgongKeren.
I found a huge crowd of people so I gathered there were no buses and I had better chances of getting one at Ambassadeur Hotel but luckily I saw a Compliant MOA right outside Zetech College Church House campus.
