I hate what our relationship has become

It feels like we are walking on an empty egg shell

The chances of it getting broken are too high

We walk around pretending that everything’s ok

We put up a brave front to the world

They compliment on what a beautiful couple we make

We smile look at each other

But what they can’t know is that it’s a face we put up

Our eyes tell a different story

They show the broken trust that existing us

The pain that we feel but we refuse to face up

What our relationship has become cold, untrustworthy

So that we cannot hurt like we do
